Scaffolding, lock keeper houses,
H 10 m, 1994

Two identical lock keeper houses, a little less than 1 km apart, are enclosed in scaffolding, producing 10-meter-high graphic architectures. A train runs slowly alongside the river, in a slow tracking shot of sorts. The spectators looking out of the windows are gripped by a feeling of deja vu, the uncanny feeling that a particular fragment of landscape is being seen over again within the space of a few minutes.
